Siam Takashimaya, the first Takashimaya department store in Thailand covering 36,000 square metres at ICONSIAM, is a joint venture agreement between Premium Japanese department store ’Takashimaya’ and ICONSIAM Co., Ltd.
It is the first time that Takashimaya opens its full-scale store in Thailand after having enjoyed success in Japan for over 180 years.
Siam Takashimaya was built with a total investment of Bht 3,000 million - of which Bht 1,800 million is the building construction value. Its concept is the mixture of Thai department store and Japan’s Takashimaya. Seven floors of SIAM TAKASHIMAYA gathers ”products from the land of the rising sun”, which carries over 500 world-renowned brands, 170 of which are Japanese brands and almost half of which have not been available in Thailand before. It generates a wave of excitement because of these new offerings for consumers in Thailand attracting visitors from around the region who are familiar with the Takashimaya brand which is established more than 180 years ago and is one of Japan’s most admired premium department store operators.
