Bangkok (May 14, 2021) – Siam Piwat Group, led by Narathip Rattapradit, an executive of Siam Piwat and Siam Paragon, and Supoj Chaiwatsirikul, Managing Director of ICONSIAM, has continued its support for public health initiatives and medical professionals to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and help Thailand navigate through this crisis with its Siam United Against COVID-19 project. Through this project, Siam Piwat donated 4,000 PPE suits and 12,000 bottles of water, worth THB 900,000 in total, to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The delivery ceremony was held at the City Hall (Giant Swing) in Phra Nakhon District, with Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, receiving the donation on behalf of BMA. The donated items will be used in hospitals under BMA to handle the COVID-19 situation.
Siam Piwat aspires to help and support all sectors to alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on assisting public health efforts and healthcare workers who have been actively carrying out their duties during the COVID-19 outbreak. This project is among a series of initiatives continuously undertaken by Siam Piwat, which began from the onset of the pandemic in 2020. These projects include raising fund to purchase medical equipment for the Thai Red Cross Society, spraying disinfectants and improving hygiene in surrounding communities, and collaborating with SCGP to set up drop-off boxes for used paper to be recycled and produced into cardboard beds for field hospitals. In this latest project, Siam Piwat invites its patrons, suppliers, business partners, executives, employees and the general public to make a donation to Ramathibodi Hospital and Taksin Hospital for the purpose of acquiring essential medical equipment for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
In a situation such as now, the unity among all Thais will play a key role in guiding Thailand out of this crisis. Therefore, Siam Piwat would like to invite everyone to take part in the Siam United Against COVID-19 project and make a donation to the Ramathibodi Foundation and the Taksin Hospital Foundation for the purpose of acquiring essential medical equipment for the treatment of COVID-19 patients until May 31 via the two following channels:
