Siam Piwat joins hands with TSCA to drive Thai economy towards sustainability

CORPORATE - 19 JUNE 2024

Siam Piwat, represented by Ms. Naratipe Ruttapradid, Chief Operating Officer, (3rd from right), has joined forces with the Thai Shopping Center Association (TSCA) to drive policies in the three key areas of economy, society, and the environment, with the objective of bolstering a sustainable ecosystem and developing the country sustainably across all dimensions. The association, which currently has 12 shopping mall operator members, has recently announced this shared goal at Pathumwananurak Park.

This collaboration seeks to support and drive economic policies, promote employment and income distribution, and stimulate domestic spending. On the social front, spaces in shopping centers will be made available for SMEs and underprivileged groups to showcase their potential and Thainess to the global market, while the spotlight will be turned on cultural events and signature events to reinvigorate the country’s tourism and economy. Additionally, concerted efforts will be made to advance environmental policies, a pressing priority, focusing on energy management within shopping centers, waste management, and participation in BMA’s “No Waste Mixing at This Mall” project, with the goal of achieving zero waste.
