To Commemorate King Rama IX’s Tireless Contributions “Siam Piwat,” Organised “นิรันดร์ในดวงใจ or Forever in Our Hearts” Exhibition Memorizing Great Remembrance of Thai to His Majesty Late King
In remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s incalculable contributions and one year mourning period, Siam Piwat Company Limited, the owner of Siam Center, Siam Discovery and Siam Paragon, joins hands with Jiranan Pitpreecha, chairman of Foto United, National Memorial, and Lonely Planet magazine, co-organised “นิรันดร์ในดวงใจ or Forever in Our Hearts” Exhibition during today to October 27 at Hall of Fame, M Floor, Siam Paragon.
In this memorial exhibition, Chiranan Pitpreecha, chairman of Foto United together with the National Memorial and Lonely Planet magazine present reproductions of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s rare belongings including Thai supreme commander’s golden mace, the map he used when performing his duties and paintings of the late king. Additionally, there are a number of memorable pictures to be cherished such as “the picture in all Thai houses and hearts” taken by the talented Rachot Visalarnkul on the day marking His Majesty the late king’s sixtieth anniversary of his accession to the throne, “The Father’s sweat and the nation’s tears” picture captured by Wason Wanichakorn and other 180 photographs by leading photographers that portray various precious moments both when Thai hearts were filled with utter delight waiting for the late king’s appearance on 5th December 2012, his 85th birthday and when the nation plunged into deepest sorrow in October 2016, as well as wall paintings of the monarch’s royal duties and famous literary work called Phra Mahachanok (the story of Mahajanaka) in Wat Khrua Wan and Wat Rajphatikaram.
What can also be found in the exhibition is the exquisite Persian carpets hand-woven into King Rama IX portrait by Mr. Hossein Bordbar, the Iranian carpet weaver who spent almost a year to create the masterpiece after got inspired by the nation’s outpouring grief and utmost loyalty he witnessed at the end of October 2016. There is also a Shadow Box DIY activity where participants learn to fold and carve paper into a shadow box and receive a carved paper as souvenir. All shadow boxes will be arranged to show sincere condolences upon the loss of the passing king.
“นิรันดร์ในดวงใจ or Forever in Our Hearts” Exhibition, the historical memorial exhibition from all Thai hearts, a tribute to His Majestiy the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s unflagging devotion and an expression of absolute commiserations on his passing, are available to join from today until October 27 at Hall of Fame, M Floor, Siam Paragon.
