Siam Piwat partners with KMITL to advance retail knowledge and carry on SIAM PIWAT Academy to enhance the capabilities of personnel in the Thai business sector
Siam Piwat, a leading real estate and retail developer, the owner and operator of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, and a joint venture partner of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, as part of the plan to further expand SIAM PIWAT Academy, has signed a memorandum of understanding for academic collaboration with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). Under this MOU, Siam Piwat and KMITL will jointly advance knowledge, develop academic projects, and disseminate knowhow beneficial to the general public, society, and the country, underlining Siam Piwat’s concept of co-creating shared value with all sectors and developing a well-growing platform in order to transfer its knowledge on shopping center management and world-class experience creation to Thailand’s academic sector, promote the development of retail personnel, and ultimately equip Thai people for competition on the global level.

Assoc. Prof. Sutee Chutipaijit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, said, “This collaboration presents a valuable opportunity for KMITL to contribute to the advancement of retail knowledge. The cooperation consists of recruitment support, short-term and long-term internships, collaborative curriculum design that leads to practical knowledge development, and the participation of experts from Siam Piwat in practical courses in regular programs. The collaboration will also include support for personnel, facilities, tools and equipment, speakers, budgets, as well as exchange of information, knowledge, and technology that benefit the academic operations of both organizations. Additionally, academic activities will be organized, and scholarships will be granted to benefit the development of the city, economy, society, and the nation.”
SIAM PIWAT Academy is a learning and management institute that has been operating since 2015 to impart knowledge on real estate development and retail business to the Thai education sector. It is a hub that connects with partners and collaborates with them to develop personnel in desired fields, with Siam Piwat’s senior executives with extensive experience in the retail industry sharing their practical knowledge with students.
At present, Siam Piwat is in discussions with partner higher education institutions both in Thailand and overseas to establish collaborations aimed at enhancing the capabilities of personnel in the retail industry and elevate Thailand into Southeast Asia’s largest learning hub for shopping center and retail management.
