Siam Piwat rallies for Thai athletes at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, reinforcing its position as a champion of equality and well-growing platform for all

Bangkok (July 1, 2024): Siam Piwat – a leading real estate and retail business developer, the owner and developer of world-renowned projects such as Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, and a joint owner of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok – sends encouragement and support to Thai athletes in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France in their quest to achieve victory and to bring honor to Thailand on the world stage. This reflects the company’s mission to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion and reinforces its position as a well-growing platform for all.

Ms. Amporn Chotruchsakul, President of Business Support, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., said, “Siam Piwat’s management and employees would like to extend our support and encouragement to the Thai athletes representing our country at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Siam Piwat operates its business with social responsibility and has continuously supported Thai athletes, especially those with disabilities. We have supported athletes with disabilities in participating in major international tournaments such as the Paralympic Games, Asian Para Games, and ASEAN Para Games since 2014. For the upcoming Summer Paralympics in Paris, France, from August 28 to September 8, 2024, Siam Piwat is sponsoring two exceptional athletes: Ms. Suneeporn Tanomwong in athletics and Ms. Apinya Thongdaeng in wheelchair fencing.”

Siam Piwat Group currently employs 17 athletes with disabilities and has provided financial support to enable their participation in various sports competitions, including the 2017 ASEAN Para Games in Malaysia, the 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia, the 2014 Asian Para Games in South Korea, the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia, the 2023 Asian Para Games in China, the 16th Paralympic Games in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia, and the 12th

ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia. This ongoing commitment not only provides them with opportunities but also boosts their morale as they represent their country at the international level.

In 2023, Siam Piwat Group contributed 900,000 baht to the Thai Wheelchair Fencing Association. The funding supported the wheelchair fencing team’s participation in the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup 2023 in Nimes, France, allowing them to accumulate points and qualify for the Paralympic Games to be held in 2024.
