Siam Piwat Drives Social Initiatives: Building Classrooms, Empowering Rural Students and Fostering Long-term Development
- Siam Piwat is committed to being a ‘Well-growing Platform’ that empowers everyone.
- They are dedicated to sustainable giving by building one school in a remote area annually.
- They also strive to provide opportunities and expand learning horizons inside and outside the classroom, fostering potential and inspiring lifelong learning.
Siam Piwat Group, a leading property and retail developer - the owner and operator of global destinations, including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and a joint venture partner of ICONSIAM, ICS, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, continues their commitment to fostering a business that benefits people, communities, and society, under the "Well-growing Platform" that promotes growth opportunities for all. They joined forces with their partners, led by the Government Savings Bank and Border Patrol Police Schools, to continue supporting diversity, equality, and inclusion. Hence, the "Citizen of Love by Siam Piwat” project X the Government Savings Bank's "Im Ni Phue Nong" event took place to provide school supplies, uniforms, scholarships, and lunches to students at Baan Pa Mak Border Patrol Police School in Sam Roi Yot District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The event was honored by the presence of Sirirat Yimthanome, Senior Vice President of Savings Promotion, Social and Environment Development at the Government Savings Bank; Pol. Lt. Gen. Yongkiat Monpranit, Commander of the Border Patrol Police; and distinguished guests from partner organizations and customers, including Pol. Lt. Gen. Patipat and Piyaphat Sunthornna Ayudhya, who represented the group in delivering happiness and smiles to the children. Additionally, the Government Savings Bank's "Im Ni Phue Nong" project organized an environmental activity titled "Thank You for Sorting Your Waste” (Khop Khun Thi Thing Kan Yang Thuk Withi, in Thai), promoting proper waste segregation.
The Citizen of Love by Siam Piwat project stems from Siam Piwat Group's vision to create a business that positively impacts a large number of people and to play a significant role in enhancing the quality of life of Thai people. With a commitment to fostering love, providing opportunities, promoting equality, and sharing happiness, the project has continuously supported Border Patrol Police School students and underprivileged students nationwide for six years. By providing essential supplies, scholarships, and fostering a learning environment, the project aims to empower students and create a brighter future.
Mayuree Chaipromprasith, President of Corporate Affairs and Communications, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., stated that “Siam Piwat holds a vision of sustainable business operations that benefit a large number of people. Through a platform that fosters opportunities and empowers individuals, the company aims to enable all stakeholders to grow and succeed together. Furthermore, Siam Piwat connects people by collaborating with partners within our ecosystem to create opportunities for meaningful contributions and maximize the effectiveness of the initiatives.
For six years, the Citizen of Love by Siam Piwat project, a comprehensive initiative focused on people, communities, and society, has been creating opportunities and fostering equality through various activities. These include providing educational materials and promoting both in-school and out-of-school learning experiences such as art workshops led by experts, nutrition education by culinary specialists, and vision care.
Additionally, the project has awarded scholarships, offered unique experiences like visits to world-class aquariums, and established a sustainable goal of constructing libraries and solar power systems for Baan Pa Mak Border Patrol Police School. Siam Piwat aims to provide long-term support by building one school facility annually in underprivileged areas, thereby fostering a strong foundation of knowledge for both students and teachers.”
"Pol. Lt. Gen. Yongkiat Monprrnit, Commander of the Border Patrol Police, stated, “The primary function of Border Patrol Police Schools is to bolster national security along border areas by primarily focusing on improving the quality of life of residents. Given the remote locations of the school, with limited access to transportation and modern amenities, and a student population largely consisting of ethnic minority children, the number of teachers and the overall quality of education are somewhat limited. The initiatives undertaken by Siam Piwat, such as art classes, educational field trips to aquariums, and Disc Golf lessons, have broadened the horizons of Border Patrol Police School students, who would otherwise not have such opportunities in their daily lives.
Considering the remote nature of schools like Baan Pa Mak Border Patrol Police School, where the school and the surrounding villages lack electricity and internet access, these students have limited exposure to the outside world. The contributions of organizations like Siam Piwat, which help fill these gaps, significantly enhance the effectiveness of the educational process."
The Citizen of Love by Siam Piwat project is a testament to Siam Piwat Group’s unwavering commitment to driving business initiatives and serving as a platform for opportunity, equality, and empowerment. This project aligns with their vision of fostering sustainable development in our nation.
