Siam Piwat Group wins 5 prestigious Friendly Design Awards 2024, underscoring its leadership in universal design across its world-class destinations

Siam Piwat – a leading real estate and retail developer, the owner and operator of world-renowned properties such as Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, and a joint owner of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok – has been recognized with five prestigious awards at the Friendly Design Awards 2024, with Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO, named the Universal Design Role Model of the Year for the Promotion of Diversity and Equality, thus reinforcing Siam Piwat’s leadership in sustainable global destination development and in the promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion through universal design. Siam Piwat’s shopping centers honored at the Thailand Friendly Design Expo 2024, the eighth edition of the exhibition showcasing universal design, health innovation, and inclusive tourism, consisted of Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM, honorees in the Equal Access Tourist Destinations category; Siam Center and Siam Discovery, recognized in the Diversity and Equality Promoting Venue category; and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, recipient of a Friendly Design Venue award.

The Friendly Design for All Foundation has presented the prestigious Universal Design Role Model of the Year 2024 for the Promotion of Diversity and Equality to Chadatip Chutrakul in recognition of her role as a leader who has always placed great emphasis on the concept of universal design and consistently applied it in accordance to international practices to the development of all properties, from Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and Siam Paragon to ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok. Under her leadership, the company has also created platforms of opportunity that foster sustainable growth for every sector and offer all stakeholders from independent entrepreneurs to the underprivileged venues to showcase their products and services, while also serving as a hub of communities that celebrate diversity, equality, and inclusion to deliver excellent experiences to all. Last year, Siam Piwat received various awards as an exemplary organization for consistently advancing universal design, promoting inclusive tourism, and establishing a robust benchmark for universal design in Thailand, thus fostering and promoting equality and equitability in society.
